Quality Assurance and Engineering
At CSI - USA Quality Assurance is defined as:

Our Quality is not related to the service but to the management of the service and its deep satisfaction. Our overriding goal is to meet and exceed our customer's needs through timely and cost effective delivery of high quality solutions and related professional services.

The Goal of QA

1. To make sure that all software requirements are fulfilled through out the development process.
2. To ensure full compliance with the developed standards and criteria.
3. To highlight the implicit requirements that are unmentioned and which are necessary to be implemented.

QA Responsibilities:

QA group serves as the customer's in-house representative and is responsible for recognizing and reporting the necessity for raised modifications along with altering management to deviations from established standards, so that all-technical issues must be handled before shipment of the product.

QA reviews software business rules and logic, logical data models, functional specifications document for completeness to develop the whole system. QA is also responsible for reviewing code to ensure that it does not have any hidden bugs related to business logic implementation, which can cause implicit errors with in outgoing development phase.

Following are some other responsibilities of QA Department at CSI - USA:

• Review all development and quality plans for completeness
• Develop and review Test Cases
• Develop and review expected test results
• Periodically audit software-coding performance to determine adherence to standards

QA Test Plans:

To perform a thorough test the following issues are included in an adequate Test Plan:

• Business Logic Correctness
• Completeness of Defined outputs
• Adherence to Specifications
• Proper Handling of Overflow and Data Ranges
• Proper Handling of Errors and Alarm Conditions
• Exception Condition
• Adherence to Standards
• Understandable output for the User.
